Me, Maddie, and Millie by Tower Bridge
Last Thursday we took the chunnel
from Paris to London. We stayed in one hotel for one night, then moved
to the one we are in now. We have been to the British Museum, the
Wallace collection, National Gallery, Stonehenge, Salisbury, and
Stourhead.
Stourhead gardens are currently famous for being the set for a certain scene in the new Pride and
Prejudice where Mr. Darcy first tells Liz Bennet he loves her. It was
the most beautiful garden I've ever seen! Since we've been in London the weather has been sunny And a little windy.
I went to The Lion King last Friday night.
It was
AMAZING! We've also been to Abbey Road, you know the Beatles one, and
to 221b Baker Street.
On Monday night we went to Shakespeare's Globe
Theatre for the classic, A Midsummer Night's Dream. It was beyond funny
and worth seeing again. The groundlings who watched back in the day
could pay one pence and were allowed. stand through the entire show. We
paid 5 pounds, since tickets are not as cheap as they used to be, but it
was well worth it!
Tomorrow we are going to the Tate Britian, and
having pastys for lunch (paid for by the program). The program ends on
Thursday night.
